Service or repairs

Just like any vehicle, from time to time, your e-scooter/bike can break down. Whether that be a dud battery, burnt out controller, puncture, or something else altogether it can be hard to find someone that can fix up your ride & get you back on the road. But don’t worry – Slip Stream ebikes and escooters is here to help.

Where Are We Located?

Our main service depot is Toogum, Queensland, but we have service partners located in cities & states across the country.

What E-Scooters/bikes Can We Service or conduct warranty work for?

Unlike a lot of ebike and escooter stores we specialise in repairing just the models we carry, to ensure top-notch service.

How Much Does It Cost To Service An E-Scooter/bike?

Slip Stream conducts services in two parts:

  • Initial Inspection - $110 + GST Flat Rate

Our technicians will diagnose the fault in your e-scooter/bike, and compile a list of all the work that needs to be completed in order to get you back on the road. They will then produce a quote for you to carry out the necessary repairs.

You can pick & choose what you do and don’t want done, or if you don’t want any of the work completed, you can decline the quote and pick your ride up after settling up the inspection fee.

  • Conducting the Repairs - $150 Per Hour + Parts

If you go ahead with our quote, we’ll order any parts that are necessary and get to work. If anything changes in your quote, we’ll let you know in advance so there are no nasty surprises when you come to pick your e-scooter or e-bike up.

You’ll receive your invoice once we’ve completed the job, and once that is settled you can collect your ride.

How Long Does It Take To Service An e-Scooter or e-scooter?

The time it takes to repair an electric scooter depends on three things:

  • Complexity Of The Job

Changing a tyre can be reasonably straightforward, while repairing a motor can be more extensive. If your repair is particularly difficult or technical, this can increase the time it takes to fix. We’ll let you know if this is the case when you book.

  • Availability Of Parts

For rarer or older models, we may have to source parts from external sources, including from overseas suppliers. In some cases, we might need to use unofficial parts, which is more common on aged units that are no longer in production. Slip Stream carries some of Australia’s highest performance e-scooter and e-bikes. We will reach out to the manufacturer or distributor for parts. This can take time, but we’ll keep you updated with our progress.

We’ll do our best to give you an estimate on how long it will take to complete the repairs.
